It is a great starter for a small 2nd grader. No gas, no helmet as it is slow (8mph) which is fast enough to slide around and be cool. Cheap enough to not get too upset when is gets broken and unlike a gas gocart it will not sit in the back yard for years. It was a great solution.
UPDATE: 12/1/24 – We have only had this product for 2 months and it already has broke down. Will not charge and will not turn on. Husband checked to make sure battery was plugged in and all the wires were connected. Could not get information of manufacturer to get help. Customer support could only give partial refund unless product was sent back. Which we aren’t going to take apart and box up because we live in the middle of nowhere. Overall don’t bother wasting money buying this product. Originally I bought this for my 7 year old daughter for her birthday. She absolutely loved driving on it and so have my other kids! My 4 year old is also able to drive it and she can’t stay off the thing. My 3 year old has to get right up on the steering wheel but he also has fun on it. The drifting capability on it is the best part in my opinion!! I will most likely be buying another one of these for my daughter for Christmas.
Product is fairly study and runs great. It is slower than expected and slower than other 48v karts around this price
Please do not purchase this car. It¡¯s been driven about 10 times & now it doesn¡¯t work. This is the 2nd one. We returned the 1st one. It¡¯s not the battery and it¡¯s not the charger. My grandson has been very disappointed with this car. It¡¯s too late to return. Just a waste of money.

Perfect for our 5+ year old grandson on our private drive. Finally graduated to the higher speed. The battery life was fine.. I don¡¯t think he ever drained it, recharged after each use. Quality was good!
The very first step to the assembly involved attaching the steering shaft to the car. The holes absolutely did not line up. In chatting with Amazon, I was told it had a one year warranty and was provided with email text to send to the company, which I did. The company never responded to the email or to a followup email. Amazon did a great job setting up a pickup for the return. But I would not recommend purchasing this, especially since the company will not respond!
