DO NOT BUY – NOT SAFE, RESULTED IN SERIOUS INJURY TO MY CHILD AND CANT BE RETURNED!!! We bought this as a bday present for my 4 year old son, but could only use it a handful of times, before it stopped being safe to use (and caused my 4 year old a concussion). Everything was going great and we were initially very pleased with our purchase until the car started having a mind of its own. My kids were on it when it abruptly accelerated at its maximum speed straight into a wall and couldn’t be stopped. My Husband thought it was user-error at first but after testing it a bit, with and without using the remote, the problem has persisted. It shoots forward and continues forward at full speed even after you remove your foot from the gas pedal (or your thumb from the forward button on the controller) and wont break right away even if you try. Just a touch on the accelerator (pedal or controller) and youre shot full speed ahead into whatever barrier you eventually run into. The first time it happened, my son’s head slammed forward so hard into the dashboard, he got a concussion. This car is absolutely not safe – it can and will cause serious injury with absolutely zero warning. And the worst part is, we cant even return our nearly $300 purchase which was the only present we bought for our son this year since it was such a pricey gift. Please don’t be like me and spend $300 to basically buy your child a serious head injury
