Santa brought this thing for Xmas 2024, and so far it has been a great machine. Its high speed is fast enough to be fun and engaging for our 9 & 7 year olds, and the fact that the brakes engage when you let off the accelerator make for a lot of fun “drifting” in the school parking lot where we let them ride it. Battery life is okay – maybe 20-30 minutes of driving time before it needs a charge. Enough time to keep it fun. The overall build is pretty sturdy – the kid is surrounded by a metal cage up to about their stomach, but no “roll bar” across the top. But this thing isn’t meant to be taken offroad very much in the first place. The weight is distributed very low to the ground and toward the back of the machine where the battery is, so it is overall very sturdy-feeling when the kid is driving it — as long as they stay on relatively level ground. A few criticisms: There is only a lap belt, which is just a plastic locking clasp — sort of a bigger version of a backpack strap. Other models have shoulder harnesses, which I wish this thing had. Also the clasp is hard for my 7yo to get on and off because it’s very stiff. The steering mechanism on the front is a little loosey-goosey, and it hangs down really low on the front, so you only have a couple inches of ground clearance on the front. That effectively limits this machine to paved flat surfaces. If you have those, then great, but don’t expect it to jump over curbs or go offroad very much. The tires are also “racing slicks,” so you aren’t going to have much grip in the grass anyway. The criticisms shouldn’t be a deal breaker, as this is a fun little machine for kids with some real pick-me-up, you just need the right place to drive it and enjoy the ability to “drift.”
My daughter loves this Go Kart. She said it’s the perfect fit for her and she enjoys how fast it goes. My daughter says it runs really well and is easy to navigate. This Go Kart also plays music (tunes) and the horn works as well. This also rides well in the grass I do have a video, but I am only allowed to upload 1 video. This really is a fun gift to give any kid. They will love it!
Easy assembly and runs great. Tires wear a bit fast but the drifting it does is almost worth it. I was very skeptical about a cheap go kart but it is amazing far just wish the snow would melt so the kid can go all out
I¡¯d like to amend my review. I contacted the company regarding the car not working. They worked through a few trouble shooting ideas with us. Still nothing worked. They ended up shipping us a new car! Hoping it lasts a little longer, but very impressed with customer service. Thank you! We purchased this item for our daughter for Christmas. She LOVED it. SO. MUCH. FUN. However, after only about 2 months, it no longer works. Won’t even turn on. In my opinion, this sort of toy should last much longer than only a couple of months. I have contacted the seller directly, waiting on response.
The battery went dead within 5 times of using it. Defective item. No longer works. Battery doesn¡¯t hold charge. Have only used 5 times and now it doesn¡¯t work. Can you send replacement that works?
I bought two of these for my 8 year old twins. It was easy to put together, great speed for this age group and stays charged longer than I would have expected. Would definitely recommend for anyone whose kids have a need for racing to make them feel like they are able to be an actual race car driver. It¡¯s been 6 months since Christmas and this is definitely still one of her most actively used gives. Oh and these are not heavy easy for this mom to move around.
I bought it for my 11 yo and he loves it. It has 2 speeds, he drifts and easily rechargeable. I even take a spin in it…fun!!!

I ordered two of these for my twin daughters (8 years old) for Christmas. I charged them the night before for exactly 8 hours. Don’t forget to open the trunk and connect the wires. It was the best gift ever. They are a lot of fun. Unfortunately one stopped working. I feel like the tires are getting worn out quickly. The body is very strong. The seat bends back a little bit because it is a light plastic. But overall that’s okay. Assembly took a little time. I wish it had a removable battery so I could just take the battery inside to charge. For now (because it’s winter) I’m bringing two large heavy duty 50 lb cars inside to charge. In case you’re wondering, they do work on the grass. I would imagine it drains the battery a bit faster. When you are driving the cars. It is difficult to hear the other person talk. Because of the sound of the wheels on the road. Overall, I am very happy that we chose to purchase these go-karts.
My boys love them! We bought 2 and both work very well! The steering components are very weak, otherwise great little karts! The battery lasts for about 30 minutes with my 7year old, 65 pound boy and 40 minutes with my 6 year old, 45 pound boy. With a bigger child I would expect only 15-20 minutes. So not great but very fun! Not sure how durable as they just got them for Christmas 2025.

This go kart was the perfect gift. I actually purchased three. They are sturdy, easy to assemble, have seat belts, a horn, music, they skid or drift and they are pretty fast. My grandsons are 6, 8 and 10. Perfect for every age. The boys played for about 40 minutes (cold out) and the batteries were still holding up just fine. I highly recommend these go karts. I even customized them with lights underneath.
My son opened this up on Christmas and within four days one of the back tires were bald. I tried reaching out to the company to see if we could purchase replacement tires and they do not sell them separately.
Cart is great but Garvee customer service was lousy, had a problem with cart in the first day and never got good customer service finally had to buy a second one to get resolved after about 3 weeks, so beware
Wow!!! What a fun and exciting drift car for my little guy who so badly wanted a battery operated go cart style car. He is only 4 and rides this beautifully (with adult supervision of course). Should be driven on concrete or asphalt for best fast turns to drift, but is capable of riding on lawns to a point. Charging holds for enough time. After 1 year we did have to replace a drive motor and we were able to fix this ourselves for reasonable cost. All in all one of the best cars I’ve ever purchased for a kiddo, he’s the talk of the neighborhood and he loves it! We bought this over a year ago so my review is late but honest. The drift car has a seat belt and 2 speeds, great safety features. Love the little built in music switch. We did use a pillow behind our young driver to give him a booster to reach the pedals comfortably. Be sure to use only with adult supervision add a good helmet and use seatbelt!! Great purchase, a little costly but worth the price. I would highly recommend!

My grandson loves his go cart. Assembly was not so bad, battery life is ok. I love the fact it comes with safety harness. The size is good for him and he has lots of fun for hours. Not a lot of adjustments you can make. Overall she enjoys it.

Great for when the 12v are no longer fast enough. Very easy to use. Easily assembled, even purchased 2 so there would not be fighting.
Great Cuatomer Service. We had issues with the first one we got, the handlebar pole part wouldnt lock properly and kept slipping out making scooter unusable. I contacted them via Amazon to report issue, they requested a video to show problem which i sent to their support email and they sent out a replacement without me having to return the defective one…ie no cost to me. They also called me to make sure new one was good which it was. This is a sign of a trustworthy company. My daughter loves it and would highly recommend it for ease of use, storage and fun!
